2,600 Jobless PAL Employee by October 1

Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced of its plan to outsource their catering, call center and airport services that will resulted to a 2,600 PAL jobless by the end of the month of September 2011. Starting October 1, PAL will accommodate outsource company so that they will save $15 Million dollar every year.

According to PAL president Jaime Bautista, “The order requires the service providers to absorb all the affected employees. The service providers will give them, send them an invitation to join their companies and they are given, I think, until September 9 to accept the invitation.”

Meanwhile, even the Office of the President is willing to approve the decission of outsourcing PAL services.
