Latest Update on Bagyong “Kabayan” as of July 29, 2011. The Tropical Depression has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility Thursday afternoon, East of Visayas. It has intensified into a Tropical Storm and was called “Kabayan,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
However Tropical Storm “Kabayan” already has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph, weather experts explained that it is still “too far to directly affect any part of the country.”
