According to wikipedia, Lung Cancer a disease that consists of uncontrolled cell growth in tissues of the lung. The most common cause of cancer-related death in men and women. And smoking, particularly of cigarettes, is by far the main contributor to lung cancer.
Recently, President "Noynoy" went to Funenaria Paz in Sucat, Parañaque to condole the family of former President Fidel V. Ramos. FVR's daughter died on lung cancer. Jo Ramos, for 25 years, she used to be a smoker and this may have caused of her disease and eventual death.
But even Jo died caused by smoking, PNoy said, He is not afraid of lung cancer.
PNoy said, "Lahat naman tayo may tadhana eh (Our fate is already written)." Noynoy said when asked if he is not afraid of getting lung cancer.
He added, "I'll try not to influence anybody (in public) as much as possible."
PNoy smokes up to 2 packs a day, his colleagues earlier said. Several people, including FVR and United States President Barack Obama, have urged him to kick his nicotine habit.
