More Rains to Come said by PAGASA

Typhoon Chedeng already headed to Japan and continues to weaken. However, the increase of the southern monsoon, bringing rains to western parts of Luzon, the Visayas, and Metro Manila, and yet more rains to come.

Weather bureau PAGASA said to the public to brace for more rains as the wet season has officially started in the country.

PAGASA senior weather specialist Rene Paciente, "Kasama sa criteria natin ay yung sunod-sunod na pag-uulan for three days at umaabot sa 25 ml ang rainfall."

Jocelyn Barrera, a resident of Malabon, said the family is ready to evacuate once a nearby river overflows.

She said, "Kapag tumataas, bibitbitin ko na yung durabox namin, pupunta na lang kami sa may labasan."

With the new schoolyear starting next week, parents and students also prepare for a wet start of classes.
