Job Fair on labor day (May 1), offer by our government, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will conduct nationwide jobs and livelihood fair. DOLE has put up new accounts on Facebook and Twitter to keep jobseekers posted on its nationwide Job and Livelihood Fair on Labor Day.
Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said that the agency hopes to pump up interest in the May 1 job fair using the social networking sites. Facebook and Twitter which added by DOLE in their statement in their official website, will provide jobseekers with pre-registration information for the event.
The agency also said,“This will give them higher chance of landing a job when they present themselves to the participating employers during the Job Fair".
Just click on "add as friend" button on the DOLE Facebook page, named "Labor Day," and follow their Twitter account, @laborday2k11.
According to DOLE, that there will be 200 firms participating, over 30,000 job vacancies are up for grabs in the Labor Day job fair.
