Vice President Jejomar Binay announced the sad news in a television interview. Sally Ordinario-Villanueva, Ramon Credo and Elizabeth Batain will be executed through lethal injection today.
Jejomar Binay said, "Hindi po tayo tumigil sa ating paki-usap na kahit isa o dalawa man lang sa kanila ang maisalba. Pero ang malungkot dito, hindi na po tayo napagbigyan at in-execute na po ang ating tatlong kababayan."
The 3 Filipinos namely, Villanueva, 32, was convicted for smuggling 4,110 grams of heroin on Dec. 24, 2008, and Credo, 42, four days later for smuggling a slightly bigger amount of heroin. Batain was sentenced to death on May 24 in the same year also for drug trafficking.
Despite the whole nation’s prayers and pleadings, China today pushed through with the executions of 3 Filipinos convicted for drug smuggling.

At past noon, Binay said in another television interview that the family of Villanueva has identified her body while Credo’s remains was to be cremated and the process will be over by 3 p.m.
The 3 Filipinos convicted of drug trafficking were executed.
