3 Filipinos Drug Mules in China already Sets Execution Date

China already set the date for the 3 Filipinos, Ramon Credo, Elizabeth Batain and Sally Villanueva who are convicted of drug trafficking and already set to be executed on March 30, according to local news.

According to local news report, families of the 3 Filipinos -- Ramon Credo, Sally Ordinario-Villanueva and Elizabeth Batain -- will visit the 3 this weekend. Credo and Villanueva are incarcerated in Xiamen while Batain is in Shenzhen.

The Supreme Court of Justice of China earlier decided to snub appeals for a commutation of the sentences of the three despite consistent pleas from the Philippine government.

But the originally execution scheduled was in January until Vice President Jejomar Binay’s visit in China. Chinese Ambassador Liu Jianchao said the execution of the 3, found to have smuggled kilos of cocaine into China, was only deferred due to humanitarian considerations.

Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte said MalacaƱang respects the decision of the Chinese government.
