2 LRT Passengers Injured when another passenger Panic over the Smoke

A southbound train of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) route from Monumento to Baclaran was temporarily suspended today after smoke was seen coming from the train.
The train was headed to Baclaran when smoke emanated as it approached the United Nations Avenue LRT station.

Lyn Paragas, Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) public relations head, told ABS-CBN News that the train experienced “technical failure.”

Paragas said, “Approaching UN Avenue, nagkaroon ng problema yung brake disc pad. Hindi pa naka-full stop yung tren, umusok. Nag-panic yung isang pasahero at binasag niya yung window. May mga pasahero na tinamaan ng bubog."

2 passengers were injured after being hit by shards of broken glass. Both passengers are now being treated for minor injuries. The incident are now investigated by the authorities.
