The Eton Residences Greenbelt is a premium residential condominium situated in the heart of the Makati CBD and right in front of the posh Greenbelt complex. But today their construction project has been suspended after accident occurred yesterday around 11:40 a.m.
The Eton Residences building construction project in Makati has been suspended after an accident, where 10 construction workers fell from the building while on duty and died immediately.
According to ABS-CBN reports, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) issued a suspension order for the Eton Residences building construction project, which is located at the corner of Paseo de Roxas and Gallardo streets in Makati City.
DOLE said the news that construction workers should still be paid continuously even after the project was suspended.
However, recent reports said witnesses said that these 10 workers rode the gondola but the maximum allowable load was said to be from 2 to 3 persons only.
On the other hand, Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin ‘Junjun’ Binay vows to help the victims’ families and will push a deeper investigation.
