Taxi Flagdown Rate P40 Approved by LTFRB

Don't think that your Taxi cab driver cheating on you! LTFRB approved the P40 pesos flag-down rate of Taxi cab in Metro Manila. Commuters who prefer to ride the cab instead of the jeep will add P10 pesos more next year.

The Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) approved the petition of taxi owners to increase the flagdown rate from P30 to P40 last December 23.

Asides from the new flagdown rate, succeeding charges were also increased. When the new rates take effect, taxi passengers will have to pay P3.50 while previously P2.50, for every 300 meters additional distance of travel.

So If I were you, I'll go for the taxi cab if only I have so important appointment to meet.
