List of Banned Firecrackers - DTI

As we always expected every year that we Filipinos never forget to buy specially this coming New Year, "Firecrackers". Because some of us believed that if you make a loud noise this New Year, you can avoid those negative vibes or spirits to your life for new year's to come.

But we must also admit that because of firecrackers many of us got injured and sometimes die in unexpected way.

So the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)  list the banned firecrackers to minimize or avoid those injuries that you could have.

• Lolo Thunder
• Bawang (large)
• Pla-pla
• Watusi
• Kwiton 
• Giant Whistle
• Judas Belt (large)
• Og
• Atomic Bomb
• Piccolo
• Goodbye Philippines
• Kabasi

And also the Department of Health urged the public to avoid using firecrackers as the number of injuries from fireworks has risen to 145 nationwide since December 21.

In Addition to that, The DTI said people should use fireworks and firecrackers produced only by legitimate manufacturers to ensure their safety. The DTI said legitimate products are properly labelled with the manufacturer's name and address.
