Filipino OFW Ban deployment to Korea

The ban was prompted by the ongoing tension between the North and the South Korean governments. The Philippine government has ordered a ban on the deployment of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to the Korean peninsula, reported by radio dzMM.

President Benigno Aquino III gave assessment about the situation in Korea. And he decide to ban the deployment to North and the South Korea.

Meanwhile, Special Envoy Roy Cimatu arrived in Seoul, Korea on Saturday morning to conduct an assessment on the looming war between the 2 Koreas. He is also tasked to make necessary recommendations whether to repatriate Filipinos working in the Korea peninsula.
