According to a report by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Revillame confirmed he signed a deal with TV5 chairman Manny V. Pangilinan at the home of his lawyer Alfonso Reyno last Sept. 7. The signing was witnessed by Revillame's manager and Viva boss Vic del Rosario.
The TV host had asked the Quezon City Regional Trial Court to confirm the rescission of his contract with ABS-CBN. He also sought P11.5 million in damages and legal fees.
Revillame inked a 3-year contract to host ABS-CBN noontime show "Wowowee" in September 2008. Last May 25, however, the TV station suspended and placed Revillame under probation after he publicly asked the network to sack talent and showbiz scribe Jobert Sucaldito for allegedly attacking Wowowee guests on the latter’s radio program.
Revillame claimed the suspension and probation were valid grounds to terminate his contract with the Kapamilya network.
