What does a UMID Card entail? Unified Multi-Purpose ID, or UMID, is a card that serves several purposes and may be used by anybody. GSIS is the first organization to use the Unified Multi-purpose ID card, and the GSIS eCard has begun using the UMID card. Soon!

The UMID card will be the only card you will ever need to transact with the GSIS, SSS, Pag-IBIG, and Philhealth. You will no longer require any other cards.

According to Executive Order No. 420, dated April 13, 2005, which required all government agencies and government owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) to streamline and harmonize their identification systems, as well as Executive Order No. 700, dated January 16, 2008, which identified the social security identification system as the core of the UMID system and directed the SSS to implement the streamlining and harmonization of the ID systems of all government agencies and GOCCs.

Simple and hassle-free to use. This is the power of a unified ID that may be used for several purposes. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the brand-new GSIS eCARD. Simply visit the GSIS Head Office in Pasay City, Quezon City, or one of the designated Regional Offices in order to enroll for an eCard that is compatible with the UMID.
